Bombay Taco

I bought a box of Patel's Curried Lentils at the grocery store the other day. You know, one of those indian meals in the foil bag. When I opened it for lunch I wondered what to serve it on, and remembered I had some tortillas in the fridge. So I warmed the tortillas on the gas burner and spread the curry on them, piled some romaine on top and wrapped it up. It was so delicious I ate three in rapid succession. Today I took it to the next level, and roasted some cauliflower, added red cabbage, sliced persian cucumber, tomato, & cilantro. Even better!

Old friends

We have a really good little antique store here in the San Fernando Valley that specializes in danish modern and craftsman pieces at very reasonable prices. "Old Friends" is located on Sherman Way in the antique alley and is run by a very nice guy, Allan. He's really helpful and will let me do layaways! He has amazing taste... hmmm, I think I'll stop by today.

Abstract Saturday

Sometimes I just want to stare at a mid-century abstract expressionist painting. Here are two by Sir Terry Frost (British 1915-2003).

Weird tales

Wish I had come across these for Halloween, but here they are the day after Thanksgiving instead. Happy Black Friday. All are from past Heritage auctions, so I missed the boat on them. I particularly like the jacket of "The Great Fog".
